The color palette for Basement is inspired by the vibrant combination of blue and orange, which work harmoniously together. These colors are a nod to our first boards and evoke the dynamic energy of our community. The identity also draws heavily from street signage, reflecting the origins of our community. The figures of a girl and a boy symbolize the inclusive nature of our community. The girl leading signifies our commitment to encouraging female participation in this traditionally male-dominated sport. The arrows represent modes of transport and are inspired by lift buttons, metaphorically taking you to the Basement.The encompassing shape of the logo mimics the bottom part of a skateboard, grounding the identity in the core activity and lifestyle that Basement celebrates.

Illustrations are a big part of Basement's identity. We use hand-drawn illustrations to create characters that are unique and inspired by skaters. These illustrations embody the "no rules" ethos of skateboarding, adding a distinct and rebellious flair to our brand. Each character and illustration is crafted to reflect the individuality and creativity that define our community.
